SUPPORT THE RIGHT TO KEEP Imagine the gun-rights movement truly going on the offensive
Politicians don't like scrutiny, and they don't like organized opposition. Brass Roots will bring them both. With a vengeance.

The Brass Roots Pledge. Brass Roots will take down the people who want to take away the firearms of Michigan's citizens by mobilizing the states' gun rights defenders in a focused political attack. From now until the next election, Brass Roots will accept pledges of money-- but not the money itself-- from supporters of our right to keep and bear arms. We know from experience that this pledge campaign, unlike most, will work. The gun-rights community's record of honoring such pledges is unequaled. Brass Roots will target -- on a nonpartisan basis -- the biggest gun control advocates running for re-election. Then we'll tell our members who they are, and who's running against them, and they'll send the pledged amount to the opposing candidate(s) of their choice. Through news releases, radio and television interviews and public meetings, we will publicize the magnitude of the pledges to the candidates and the media, so that they understand how committed and effective Michigan's gun- rights defenders are. Brass Roots has already recorded tens of thousands of dollars in pledges. By election time, members' pledges will amount to ten of thousands of dollars more. In a Michigan House Senate Judicial or County race, this kind of money doesn't talk. It shouts. As these targeted politicians lose, others will quietly abandon their gun control activism. They may not like gun owners, but they really hate losing their jobs. Brass Roots is headed by an all-volunteer executive staff deeply dedicated to freedom and our members' political effectiveness. The founding Director is Jon Coon, a 1994 U.S. Senate Candidate and die-hard gun rights defender. The organization is funded by a $25 Basic Membership fee, merchandise sales and donations. We are forming local chapters throughout Michigan.
